Vanhelgd announces the release of their new album “Atropos Doctrina”
The Swedish death metal band Vanhelgd based in Mjölby (Östergötland) has recently announced the release of their sixth studio album six years after their last album titled Atropos Doctrina and which will go on sale on July 12 through from the Dark Descent Records label in CD, LP, cassette and digital formats.
“Six years of pandemic, crisis and war have passed since we last announced the impending doom of mankind. Much and nothing has changed. Tragedy, ecstasy and doom are still our perpetual companions and the age of man is indefatigable crawling towards the end of its path. The moirai spun and measured your thread of life and now it’s in the hand of Atropos the Inflexible One…“, says the band about their new album.
Atropos Doctrina was recorded at Norrköping’s Endarker Studios under the direction of Marduk‘s ex-bassist Magnus Devo Andersson. Despite the album’s Latin title, the lyrics of the entire album have all been written in the band’s native language, putting an end to their Anglo-Swedish language to date.
