Upploppet launch the final single and music video from upcoming debut album
Upploppet will release their debut studio album Road Runner on the 12th of April. Perfectly blending punk and rock, this electrifying Swedish five-piece pays homage to the old punk and rock ‘n’ roll legends while at the same time embracing the new. The final single leading up to Road Runner is called Ibuprofen and is released on all streaming platforms together with a music video on the 1st of March.
The band comments: “The day after a real wet night and you got a banging headache, all you crave is some sort of painkiller to live through the day. People take Ibuprofen like it’s vitamins nowadays and so do we! This song will cure any hangover or ache, just like Ibuprofen!“.

Upploppet is the latest addition to the scandirock Mount Rushmore, with influences hailing from titans such as Gluecifer, MC5, Union Carbide Productions and many more. This just goes to show you that this five-piece stomps all over rock’n’roll history with their own twist. The music represents the dangerous side of rock. With no prisoners being held, a raw attitude and a live show like no other, Upploppet is pulling the torch from the fists of the old geezer’s that once held it.
The band has already gone through the DIY process of recording several EPs in their rehearsal space on the outskirts of Hogsbo, Gothenburg. Their 2022 self-release You Wish This Was Live (mixed at Sunlight Studios by Tomas Skogsberg) sent them right into their local rock scene. The band had already visited the outskirts of Europe before having released a full-length LP. Now they’re planning their next step in taking over planet Earth. The Sign Records felt the noise of the group while other oblivious labels stayed in the dark and took them under their wings. With their debut studio album Road Runner, recorded in Welfare Studios and released by The Sign Records, the band shows once again that they are evolving by getting better, faster and stronger as a unit. Everyone, put your seatbelts on.
