Anciients release the re-recorded version of their song “Raise The Sun”

The Canadian bands Anciients, a progressive metal project with extreme elements, have been active since their formation in 2009 Vancouver (British Columbia). The band led by vocalist and guitarist Kenneth Paul Cook along with drummer Mike Hannay has undergone some changes since its formation and currently has the guitarist Brock MacInnes – who joined Anciients in 2017 – and bassist Rory O’Brien who also joined the band in 2023.

Anciients have released two albums to date, Heart Of Oak (2013) and Voice Of The Void (2016), both released via Season Of Mist, in addition to the independently released 2011 Snakebeard EP. With their second album Voice Of The Void they won the JUNO award in 2018 for best metal/hard rock album of the year, a more than deserved award for which they had already been nominated in 2014 with their debut album Heart Of Oak.

The band is currently working on their third studio album that will be released sometime in 2024, probably at the end of the year, so for the moment we can enjoy the new version they have recorded of their song Raise The Sun that opens the debut album from 2014 for which they have also released a video created by Scott Rudd Film and which you can see below:
